JAMES CITY COUNTY — Olde Towne Medical & Dental Center is bringing on board a new full-time dental director.
Dr. Lorenzo Modeste started his new role at the clinic, located at 5249 Olde Towne Road in Williamsburg, having already been involved with the staff on a volunteer basis for 17 years and as part-time staff for the last 3 years, according to a news release from Olde Towne Medical & Dental Center.

Originally from Chicago, Ill., Dr. Modeste graduated from Eureka College in Eureka, Ill. He then received his Doctor of Dental Surgery at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tenn. and completed his dentistry residency at Meharry Medical College as well.
He is a member of the National Dental Association, the Norman Lassiter Dental Society and is president of the Old Dominion Dental Society. Dr. Modeste also sits on numerous boards in the area.
Dr. Modeste spent 27 years in private dentistry practice in Hampton and practices all aspects of general dentistry, including restorative and cosmetic dentistry.

He is an adjunct Clinical Instructor at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry as well as the Clinical Site Director for VCU students that volunteer at Olde Towne. He also serves as a mentor for dental students at Hampton University and ECPI Medical Careers Institute.
Aaron Thompson, the center’s executive director said in a released statement, “Having Dr. Modeste as the full-time Dental Director increases our ability to continue to provide excellent care to our patients and our community.”
