JAMES CITY COUNTY — There is a water service disruption scheduled for Wednesday, July 7.

As part of the Longhill Road improvement project, the James City Service Authority (JCSA) has issued a statement that a contractor from the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will be completing work that ties in with a new water main that services the Williamsburg Business Center. As a result, water services to the business center will be interrupted.

The work is expected to take place between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on that day. JCSA stated that once service is restored, there may be a temporary discoloration of water. If this occurs, those effected by the water service disruption are advised to flush cold water fixtures until the water is clear.

The statement from JCSA also said, “Every effort will be made to minimize the length of time water service will be affected.”

If there are any questions, please contact JCSA Chief Water Engineer Michael Youshock at (757)259-5451 or via email at michael.youshock@jamescitycountyva.gov.
