WILLIAMSBURG — Look out, Historic Triangle… Jack is back!
After having to cancel last year’s Howl-O-Scream due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Busch Gardens Williamsburg (BGW) has brought the fan-favorite seasonal event back for 2021.
Running from September 12 through October 31, 2021, families and adults will have opportunities to celebrate the spooky season with unique offerings, shows, and more.
From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, families can enjoy a not-so-spooky event with The Count’s Spooktacular. This will take place in the park’s Sesame Street Forest of Fun section and includes a costume party, free trick or treating and other family-friendly Halloween activities.
At 5:45 p.m., the adult-focused Howl-O-Scream celebration will take place. There will be all-new haunted houses and scare zones, Halloween-themed shows, special spooky beverage offerings, as well as having many of the park’s rides and roller coasters open throughout the night.
In 2020, BGW had change its normal celebration to a Halloween Harvest event. This festival, which was compliant with COVID-19 restrictions, was a reduced version of normal Howl-O-Scream activities.

During this year’s Howl-O-Scream event, it is recommended that families with young children participate in the activities that take place prior to 5:00 p.m., as the elements of evening events could be too frightening for younger guests.
All events are included with admission to the park.
