Mobile Vaccine Clinic in York County

YORK COUNTY — On Monday, June 28, 2021, a mobile vaccine clinic will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Charles Brown Park, 1950 Old Williamsburg Rd. in Yorktown.

In a collaborative effort between Hampton University and Lackey Clinic, the mobile unit will provide free first and second doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.

In a news release from Thursday, June 24 from York County Parks and Recreation, the following facts were giving regarding the vaccine:

  • None of the FDA-authorized vaccines will give anyone COVID-19, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, or sexual orientation.
  • The vaccines will ont make you more susceptible to COVID-19. In fact it is the opposite — all three currently authorized vaccines are proven to protect against serious illness, hospitalization, and death from COVID-19.
  • Authorized vaccines will never affect your ability to become pregnant or cause you to become sterile.
  • None of the vaccines available and authorized by the FDA can change, alter or damage your DNA.
