JAMES CITY COUNTY — Crews are currently paving Monticello Avenue between Ironbound Road and News Road, weekdays between 6:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m.
This work on Monticello is estimated to be complete as early as next week, weather permitting. The schedule for completion is subject to change depending on the weather.
The paving on Monticello Avenue is part of the overall annual Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Paving Program used to make improvements and extend the lifespan of the roadways.
Once work is completed on Monticello, crews are currently scheduled to begin milling and paving on Centerville Road, between Route 5 and just past News Road. This work is also scheduled to take place between 6:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m.
