JAMES CITY COUNTY — The county recently announced that one lane along Route 5 at the Powhatan Creek Bridge will continue to be closed Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The new traffic pattern will continue until James City County announces otherwise. Motorists are encouraged to use alternative routes when traveling.
The closure will allow crews to work on the water main replaced, which is anticipated to be completed by mid-July. Residents are encouraged to observe voluntary water restrictions.
