WILLIAMSBURG — On Wednesday, June 2, Olde Towne Medical & Dental Center (OTMDC) announced that it was the recipient of $75,000 from the Ford’s Colony Men’s Golf Association’s 2021 tournament and Resident’s Giving Campaign.
The tournament was held on May 5, 2021 on the Marsh Hawk course of the Ford’s Colony Country Club. The event and campaign were a success, raising funding for the medical center, located at 5249 Olde Towne Rd., Suite D in Williamsburg, during a time when it is needed most.
“While 2021 again provided some continuing challenges, it was through the help and support of all our friends and neighbors in Ford’s Colony and our sponsors and donors of Williamsburg that came together to make the OTMDC annual event a great success,” said Bob Iwaszko, chair of the OTMDC Challenge Committee. “We would like to [say] ‘Thank you’ all for your support and continuing community spirit of ‘local people helping local people.'”
The tournament is an annual event in which proceeds are raised to support OTMDC. This was its 26th year.
“The dedication to support the mission of Olde Towne of the residents of Ford’s Colony and the Men’s Golf is so appreciated by the staff and patients,” said OTMDC Executive Director Aaron Thompson. “Their generosity helps us maintain the quality care that our patients depend upon, especially in this past year.”
OTMDC is a nonprofit, community-based rural healthcare clinic which provides health and dental services for uninsured or underinsured residents living and working in James City and York counties, as well as the City of Williamsburg.
