James City County is Inviting You to a Neighborhood Block Party

JAMES CITY COUNTY — County residents are invited by James City County Parks and Recreation to a neighborhood block party.

This free drive-thru event will be held in the Abram Frink, Jr. Community Center parking lot on Friday, June 4.

Families can drive from station to station to gather community information, spin a wheel for prizes, receive craft activity supplies and pick up a boxed BBQ dinner.  According to a post from the JCC Parks and Recreation, participants must be physically present to receive prizes and goodies.

Children attending the block party will also receive a balloon animal.

Masks are required to participate in the drive-thru event. Residents are also welcomed to walk to the event if they wish to do so.

Residents must sign up in advance for select time, 30-minute increments from 5:30-8 p.m.

The Abram Frink Jr. Center is located in Grove at 8901 Pocahontas Trail. To sign up for a time slot, click here, or call 757-259-5372 to sign up. The deadline to register is today, Wednesday, June 2.
