WILLIAMSBURG — Good news for movie lovers – New Town Regal Cinemas 12 is officially open just in time for summer.
The large cinema, located at 4911 Courthouse St, in the center of New Town’s shops and restaurants reopened Wednesday, May 26 for evening screenings only.
On Friday, May 28, the cinema officially opened back up during normal business hours in time for the Memorial Day holiday weekend.
But New Town Cinemas has more in store for those ready to return to the movies. Starting June 22, the theater will be offering $1 movies on Tuesdays and Wednesdays as part of the Summer Movie Express.
Until September 1, guests can purchase tickets to family-friendly movies for $1, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Will Rogers Institute. Each week, two movies will play on both days, including “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” “Emoji Movie,” “LEGO Batman Movie,” and many more.
