YORK COUNTY — The Senior Center of York will resume normal operating hours and will also begin offering a variety of programs.
Starting Tuesday, June 1, the Senior Center, 5314 George Washington Memorial Hwy, will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Programs for seniors will include Knitting Club (June 7, 14, 21 and 28), Quilting Club (June 7, 14, 21 and 28), Art Time (June 9, 23 and 30), Bingo (June 9 and 23) and Ping Pong (June 16).
Additionally, from June 8-29, the Senior Center will offer the award-winning Literacy for Life HEAL Program, which helps adults increase their knowledge of current health care topics, medical terminology as well as standard medical practices and procedures.
The center will also hold a movie day and also a 4th of July birthday bash over the summer.
Pre-registration is required for each program and can be done by calling the Senior Center at 757-890-3444 or registering online at York County Parks and Recreation.
