JAMES CITY COUNTY — For people who do not live in James City County or City of Williamsburg, parking fees at Jamestown Beach are scheduled to take effect this Saturday, May 29.
From Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day (Monday, Sept. 6), nonresidents will be charged a parking fee when visiting the beach, located at 2205 Jamestown Road near Jamestown Settlement.
The fees will be charged Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., and on weekends and holidays, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.

Passenger Vehicle (up to 8 passengers):
Weekdays: $4
Weekends & Holidays: $7
High Occupancy Vehicle (9-15 passengers):
Weekdays: $10
Weekends & Holidays: $10
Bus (16 or more passengers):
Weekdays: $15
Weekends & Holidays: $15
Guests are asked to stop at the gate to pay parking fees (cash, credit/debit cards and checks will be accepted) or provide proof of residency.
There is no parking fee for residents who physically reside in James City County and the City of Williamsburg. Residents are required to provide proof of residency upon arrival (to include a valid driver’s license or identification card which shows current address). Residents can also present a lease agreement, utility bill or voter registration card along with another ID card (e.g. DoD issued identification card).
Parking decals for residents will no longer be issued. However, previously issued decals are still valid as long as it is readable. Decals that are not readable will not be valid and cannot be replaced.
