POQUOSON — The City of Poquoson Fire and Rescue responded to a report of a fire at Imagination Land Day Care, 478-B Wythe Creek Rd, on Saturday, May 22.
Units arrived on scene at approximately 10 p.m. to find an advanced fire leading from the front of the structure to the roof.
The building was unoccupied.
After receiving a 911 call from a passerby on Wythe Creek Rd., the first crews arrived within five minutes.
With assistance from the York County Department of Fire and Life Safety, the fire was under control by approximately 10:45 p.m.
An official report of the cause of the fire has not yet been released.
