YORK COUNTY — It’s going to be a summer of song and dance.
The Williamsburg Players and J & M Productions are offering their first ever Broadway Summer Camp for kids ages 8-18.
The camp will run from July 26 through August 8, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. It will all culminate in live performances on August 7 and 8 on The Williamsburg Players’ outdoor stage.
The campers will start with vocal and dance warm-ups as well as learn the songs and choreography for Broadway musicals. They will also learn techniques and skills for acting and for using microphones.
Rehearsals will be a mix of indoor, outdoor and Zoom to keep everyone safe during the pandemic.
The camp’s lead instructor, Jennifer Lent Hamilton, has been teaching professionally and working with the Williamsburg Players for several years. She most recently directed the theatre’s fall cabaret show.
The camp costs $450 and with a complimentary camp t-shirt included.
