“We wanted to do something outdoors but also support local organizations,” said Pjerin Luli, who has been a member of Ace Fitness for two years. Together with gym owners Robert Washington and Toni Colon, Luli has been helping Ace Fitness plan the event.

Luli said that the goal is to promote open air fitness and provide a safe environment for those who are high risk, such as cancer survivors, and their families to work out together.

“The workouts will involve high intensity training,” Luli said, adding that there will be various levels of intensity provided.

From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 5, Ace Fitness will lead a Workout of the Day in the field next to Billsburg Brewery. Ace Fitness will provide all of the necessary equipment, including tires of various sizes. All participants will receive a workout tank top and receive $1.00 off on all Billsburg Brewery beers. Participants will also receive one raffle ticket.

Tickets for Pink Fitness can be purchased on EventBrite here. There are three ticket options: A $10 ticket lets people support the event and cheer on workout participants. Supporters will receive a raffle ticket and $1.00 off a beer. The $20 ticket includes all of this plus the ability to exercise with a workout tank top. The $50 ticket will include a donation in the name of a loved one and everything that is included with the $20 package.

The proceeds will benefit Here for the Girls, with a small portion helping Ace Fitness raise money for a roadside sign.

Pink Fitness will be held on Saturday, June 5 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m at Billsburg Brewery. For more information on Ace Fitness, visit their Facebook page here.
