Other amusement parks across the country have also discontinued temperature screenings. Kings Dominion in Doswell, Va., has also discontinued these checks, employees are still required to have guests complete a symptom questionnaire before admittance.
A statement provided by BGW to WYDaily stated, “We have updated our guidelines to remove temperature screenings for our guests. Our parks continue to operate with enhanced health and safety measures, including limited capacity, reservations, physical distancing, enhanced cleaning and sanitation procedures, and face covering requirements.”
BGW stated that it change the screening policy based on authoritative guidance from government, health and industry partners. However, BGW did not respond as to if the park is requiring guests to complete a symptom questionnaire prior to being allowed entry.
The statement provided to WYDaily further states, “At Busch Gardens, we are committed to the health & safety of our employees, guests, and the animals in our care. We have continued to review and evolve our health and safety procedures in order to promote a safe environment for our guests and employees, while still providing them with fun and memorable experiences.”
