Business Council Briefs – May 2021 [Free read]

This month at the Greater Williamsburg Business Council we are looking forward to warmer weather and more opportunities for in-person connection. We will soon reveal a new series of “Business in a Basket” networking picnics, hosted at local parks. We are also transitioning our Morning Blend networking events to an in-person format over coffee. For these opportunities and more, we encourage you to view our online calendar.

Are you looking for a way to support a local business at no cost? Our Economic Growth Committee invites you to nominate businesses for our Small Business of the Year and Early Stage Small Business of the Year Awards. Some criteria for consideration include innovation, resiliency, and community impact. Read more about award criteria and submit your nominations online by Monday, May 10th.

Our signature Chamber Challenge Golf Tournament is on the calendar for June 4th at Colonial Heritage. We are looking forward to networking and enjoying a day out on the course together. Foursomes, sponsorships, and all health guidelines are available on our website.

The ASPIRE Young Professionals are continuing to work on a new Little Free Library project for the Greater Williamsburg community. Thanks to the generosity of local supporters, the recent book drive collected 87 books! The Little Free Library location will be announced soon.
