Virginia Arts Festival to co-host award-winning organist

WILLIAMSBURG — On Sunday, April 18, the Virginia Arts Festival will continue its 2021 season by co-hosting with the American Guild of Organists – Tidewater Chapter Grammy-award winning organist, Nathan Laube.

Laube, who boasts an extensive recital career spanning over four continents, will perform a variety of pieces, including works from Mendelssohn, Bach, Duruflé, and Liszt.

“Known for his brilliant playing, gracious demeanor, and creative programming of repertoire spanning five centuries, fans will delight in this Sunday evening performance,” stated the Virginia Arts Festival.

Laube currently serves as an Associate Professor of Organ at Eastman School of Music and as an International Consultant in Organ Studies at Birmingham Conservatoire in the United Kingdom. He also serves on the organ faculty at his alma mater, the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Stuagart, Germany.

The concert will take place this Sunday, April 18, at 7:30 p.m. at St. Bede Catholic Church, 3683 Ironbound Road.
