WILLIAMSBURG — Authorities are looking for a man who allegedly flashed his genitals at a person before driving off.

On Wednesday, April 14, at approximately 3 p.m., officers responded to the 200 block of Merrimac Trail regarding an indecent exposure report, authorities said.

John Heilman, spokesperson for the Williamsburg Police Department, said that the person who filed the complaint was an adult woman and reported that a “middle-aged white male exited a Silver Dodge work van and flash his genitals.”

Heilman noted the woman left the area and the suspect sped off in his van down Merrimac Trail.

“Officers searched the area but did not locate the suspect or the suspect’s vehicle,” Heilman wrote. “No injuries or property damage was reported.”

Authorities describe the suspect as a heavy set male, between 40-50 years of age, wearing a white construction hat, an orange and yellow vest with a gray t-shirt and jean shorts.

While the van was noted for having a storage rack for ladders, there were none on the vehicle. Police reported that there were no “other distinguishing features.”

“The incident is still under investigation and if the suspect is located and identified he will be charged,” Heilman added.
