
HISTORIC TRIANGLE — On Saturday, March 27, we asked you through social media to guess where the above picture was in the Historic Triangle.
We had so many great guesses but now it is time to reveal the answer.
If you guessed Yorktown Battlefield, you’re right!
This recreation is just one of the many forms of artillery used during the Revolutionary War. The three primary types used by the Americans, French, and British were cannons, howitzers, and mortars.

Cannons were either heavy siege guns or lightweight field guns.
