To improve safety for motorists, VDOT will make new traffic patterns at the intersections of John Tyler Highway at Centerville Road that will remove left turns onto and from John Tyler Highway. It will also establish right-out turns only on Old Stage Road at Rochambeau Drive, according to a news release on Thursday.

In order to make the improvements, a full-day closure will be implemented on Centerville Road between Monticello Avenue and John Tyler Highway from 8 a.m. until as late as 3 p.m.

Work on the Old Stage Road is set to take place the following day, beginning as early as 8 a.m. and until the improvements are completed.

Traffic at the Old Stage Road will be under flagger control until the work is completed.
