JAMES CITY COUNTY — Visitors to Busch Gardens Williamsburg could win a pot of gold this St. Patrick’s Day.
The park is hosting an event called, “Shimmering Shamrocks Hunt” on Wednesday, March 17.
Three shamrocks will be hidden throughout the park. When a lucky guest finds one, the park asks that they take a selfie with it and then post it to social media with the hashtag #BGWShimmeringShamrock.
According to the Busch Gardens’ announcement, the winners will be greeted by Lucky the Leprechaun. The winners will receive a pot of goodies that may include Busch Gardens swag such as a t-shirt, drink coaster, water bottle, pens and two snack vouchers.
The Shimmering Shamrocks Hunt is just one of several celebrations scheduled as part Busch Gardens Williamsburg’s St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, which run through March 28.
The entire park is open with limited capacity. Throughout the month, there are special live performances and Irish-themed food and drinks.
Event hours vary and reservations are required.
