Spotlight: Business Council Briefs – March 2021 [Free read]

Things are ramping up this month at the Greater Williamsburg Business Council.

With a brand-new speed networking programs on Blitzr and an upcoming discussion on Workplace Wellness, we are dedicated to helping our members press forward through 2021.

Recently, our ASPIRE Young Professionals have launched a new Little Free Library project to serve the Greater Williamsburg area. “It is ASPIRE’s hope that the Little Free Library will inspire readers, bring joy, and strengthen our community,” noted Amber Saloka, Chair of the ASPIRE Young Professionals Committee. “We are thrilled to facilitate this amazing ongoing project that will continue to be a part of ASPIRE’s legacy for years to come.”

ASPIRE is currently accepting book donations throughout March with drop-off boxes at the Business Council office and both Alewerks Brewing Company locations. Those who donate books through the collection bins at Alewerks will receive 10% their purchase.

The past year has taken a toll on many facets of the business world, including the culture and wellbeing of your workplace. Kim Goeltom, Certified Master Wellness Coach and owner of Creating Legacy Wellness, will be presenting a webinar on “Workplace Wellness in 2021” this Thursday, March 11th at 10 AM. Our Women’s Business Council is excited to host a Happy Hour with Rosie the Riveter event on Thursday, March 25th at 6 PM. Attendees will pick up two cocktails and an optional charcuterie spread from Amber Ox Public House, then head home to join online trivia with Time Passages Mobile DJ Services.
