Love is in the air, Virginia, and Valentine’s Day is a week away. Still don’t have a plan for you and that special someone? Here are some ideas on what to do with your significant other.

  1. Love on the Loose Scavenger Hunt
Find 24 animals running wild at Freedom Park Feb. 6-14 for the “Love on the Loose” scavenger hunt. Each animal will share a fun fact, which will contain an answer to a quiz. Access the quiz by scanning the QR code attached to the animals. Each correct answer will be an entry into a raffle for prizes. Freedom Park is located 5537 Centerville Road and is open from 7 a.m. until sunset. To find out more about programs at Freedom Park, click here.
  2. Love at First Slice
Mellow Mushroom is offering Shroom Love Boxes, a make-your-own-pizza kit. The kit includes a small pizza dough, their special Mellow red sauce, mozzarella cheese, and 14 pepperonis to bake the perfect pie at home. Shroom Love Boxes are available now until Feb. 21 or while supplies last. Visit Mellow Mushroom’s website to order a pizza kit or call 757-903-4762.
  3. Yorktown’s Valentine’s Day Winter Market
More than 20 vendors and artists will line the Riverwalk on Saturday, Feb. 13 for this special winter market event. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., visitors can enjoy locally grown produce, baked goods, and artisan crafts. Some vendors include Taylor Made Chocolate, Celestial Silver Company and The Ship’s Hold. 5. Ice Skating in Merchants Square
