Get your kid out of the house with this pottery class

Kids and teens looking to try something new are in luck.

The James City County Parks and Recreation department is offering pottery class for kids 10 to 15 years old who want to “get creative and messy with clay.”

The sessions and cost $55 which includes a materials fee for the instructor. You can register here.

“Participants will hand-build and explore the potter’s wheel, with no experience necessary,” according to the JCC Parks and Recreation’s Facebook post.

The Kidz Clay classes are at the James City County Recreation Center, 5301 Longhill Road on Thursdays starting Feb. 18 to March 18 from 4:15 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.
