The holidays may be over but it’s never too late to decorate cookies.
Children ages 7 to 13 years old are invited to the Winter Wonderland Cookie Decorating event, according to a press release from James City County’s Parks and Recreation.
Participants will decorate their homemade cookies using buttercream icing to draw winter shapes, such as mittens and snowflakes. Attendees are encouraged to bring an apron, dress appropriately, tie back long hair and bring two airtight containers in which to take the cookies home.
The Winter Wonderland Cookie Decorating event is at the James City County Recreation Center, 5301 Longhill Road on Jan. 29 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The registration fee is $25 and includes the cost of supplies. You can register on the James City County’s website or by calling 757-259-4200.
