The coronavirus pandemic has left some residents lonely longing for old hobbies or itching to try something new.
Those needing a break and social interaction are in luck.
James City County Parks and Recreation announced its winter and spring class schedules are now available.
The seasonal brochure offers classes, events and other activities starting in January through April 2021.
“We’ve had the most interesting and challenging year here at Parks & Recreation, and I’m sure you can say the same for your and your family,” John H. Carnifax Jr. director of the department said in a prepared statement. “I’m excited to share some of our accomplishments over the past months and what recreational and wellness opportunities we’ve planned this season.”
Residents can choose from fitness classes like water aerobics and yoga to art workshops like paint nite kits and pottery. You can see the entire brochure here.
“We’ve accomplished much together and I wish you and your family a safe, healthy and active 2021!,” Carnifax added.
