A Matter of Balance at York County Senior Center

Many older adults experience concerns about falls and restrict their activities. To help older residents, the York County Senior Center is  holding A Matter of Balance classes on Tuesdays, January 12 through March 8, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Senior Center.

A Matter of Balance participants will  learn to view falls as controllable, set goals for increasing activity, make changes to reduce fall risks at home and how to exercise to increase strength and balance.

The Senior Center of York offers a wide variety of educational and entertaining programs for adults. Participation is open to seniors age 55 or better and their spouses, regardless of age. Reservations are required for all activities, and are offered on a first-come, first serve basis.

Register online for A Matter of Balance and other activities  at www.yorkcounty.gov/parksandrec or call 757-890-3444 by January 6.
