York County Parks and Recreation offers a wide variety of leisure classes and instructional programs. Space is limited, masks are required and temperatures are checked. Registration for the following winter programs is available Dec. 15 through Jan. 8 here.
The cost for the Parks and Recreation programs are $55 for residents and $80 for non-residents.
Tuesdays in Jan. 12 until March 2 from 6-7 p.m. York County Parks and Recreation will be hosting the an Arts and Crafts class at Dare elementary. Students will learn to draw, paint, sketch and have fun with clay. The main objective of the class is to introduce children to a myriad of arts and crafts media and techniques.
After Arts and Crafts, on Tuesdays from 7 pm. to 8 pm. there will be a drawing and painting class. Participants will have fun drawing and painting with different medium like pencils, watercolors, pastels and charcoal. Learn the tips and tricks to encourage your drawing ability. The class will work both real life and printed references to build interesting compositions.
York is also offering Taekwondo and Hapkido for all ages six and up with Action Arts Academy.
