The York County calendar for 2021-2022 is now available for free. Comprised of beautiful photos of pollinators, this calendar theme is a way to help educate the public about their essential impact on the environment.
The York County Beautification Committee chose the winners from photos entered by York County residents, each winner won a cash prize and their photo included in the calendar.
Caroline Herath took the cover photo and is passionate about nature, pollinators and monarchs.
“I was excited when I found out, I forgotten that I actually entered because during this year, it just seems like everything has kind of blurred together,” Herath told Wydaily in a previous interview.
Copies are available at the following locations while supplies last:
York Library: 8500 George Washington Memorial Hwy, Yorktown
Tabb Library: 100 Long Green Blvd, Yorktown
Parks & Rec: Washington Square Shopping Center (5338-G George Washington Memorial Highway)
Copies are limited, so the county have made it available to download and print from the at www.yorkcounty.gov.
