Remember how Mermaid Books said they were closing their doors for good on Nov. 30?
Well, you could say a bit of a holiday miracle happened.
Mermaid Books announced Tuesday they are opening their doors one more time this weekend.

Reduced priced books, tote bags and more will be on sale this weekend.
The store announced on their Facebook page their decision to close back on Nov. 14 due to the pandemic impacting their business. The store then closed its doors finally on Nov. 30.
Everyone entering the store is required to wear a mask and practice social distancing, said Hatley Mason, store owner.
And if you can’t make it in person this weekend, you can call the store to ship inventory to you by contacting 757-229-3603.
Mermaid Books, 421 Prince George St., will be open Saturday, Dec. 12 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 13 from noon to 6 p.m.
