The York County Parks & Recreation’s youth winter basketball program is accepting registrations now through Dec. 14.
This year’s program is being developed under current state guidelines for safety and space needs due to the coronavirus, according to a news release from the county.
Practices are scheduled to begin in January.
According to the county website, York and non-county residents who are 7-18 years old as of Sept. 30, 2020, may participate.
Children in the process of trying out for a school sport team, are encouraged to register, and refunds will be given to those children who make the school team.
The cost for the program is $55 for York County residents for the first child and $50 for each additional child per family.
For non-county residents the fee is $90 per child.
Program fees are waived for only York families falling within the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP – Federal Food Stamp) eligibility limits. Proof of eligibility along with proper ID are required for registration in person at the Parks & Recreation office.
For more information or to register, visit the Parks & Recreation website.
Payments will not be due upon registering, but will be due in the first week of practice in January.
