The coronavirus pandemic has affected the job industry from layoffs to reduced hours.

For those looking for a new source of income, they might want to attend a job fair.

William & Mary is hosting virtual job fair Tuesday for facilities management positions.

The event is via Zoom and most of the positions listed are full-time. You can register here.

“We will have breakout rooms by job type/trade,” according to the Zoom event registration page. “After you join the Zoom meeting, please feel free to join any breakout rooms that you have interest in learning more about.”

“We will have a supervisor or lead worker in each room to discuss the opportunities that we have and to answer any questions you may have about the different jobs and teams.”

The Zoom link and meeting registration page also includes other information for potential employees such as full-time benefits, health insurance premiums or benefits and the hourly/part-time benefits.

The university is hiring for the following positions. Interested? Apply here.

  • Carpentry: Senior worker, evening shift carpenter, lead carpentry, master mechanic
  • Custodial worker (full time or hourly), custodial lead worker, building support worker, custodial supervisor
  • Director of operations & maintenance
  • Electrical: Senior worker, master mechanic
  • Grounds (turf, nursery/greenhouse, landscape)
  • HVAC: Installation/repair tech, master mechanic
  • Plumber
  • Utilities: Utilities technical supervisor, lead building automation system specialist, utility plant operator

The William & Mary Virtual Job Fair for Facilities Management is via Zoom on Tuesday, Dec. 12 from noon to 1:45 p.m.
