Still looking for the perfect gift for the holidays but also want to contribute to a good cause?
Why not do both?
Here for the Girls is hosting a Holiday Stop & Shop Charity Bazaar this Saturday at 10 a.m.
How does it work? Here for the Girls will be selling for suggested donation items such as holiday décor, wreaths, jewelry crafts, retail items, and more.
“This is just something we decided to do when we heard the parade was canceled,” said Vicki Vawter, program and community outreach manager for Here for the Girls.
She added the Greater Williamsburg Christmas Parade was one of the seasonal ways the nonprofit engaged with the community.
Without the parade, plans had to change.

“This year has been especially tough for nonprofits, and this is another way for us to engage with the community,” Vawter said.
All proceeds from the event will benefit Here for the Girls, whose mission is to improve the lives of women affected by breast cancer.
The Holiday Stop and Shop Charity Bazaar will be in the Williamsburg Office Park, suite 204 parking lot, with a rain date of Dec. 6.
Masks are required for attending the bazaar, and social distancing will be encouraged with spaced out tables. Volunteers will be present to help monitor the event.
Donations of gently used holiday décor, including ornaments and wreath, will be accepted at the Here for the Girls office on Mondays and Tuesdays from 8 a.m. to noon or by appointment before Dec. 2.
