
Kids and teens wanting to create art during the winter months can sign up for this pottery class.
No experience needed.
“Feel free to make a mess, while making your mark in clay,” according to the James City County Parks and Recreation’s Facebook page. “Explore the potter’s wheel and sculpt with your hands.”
The art class costs $40 and includes five sessions for ages 10 to 15 years old. You can register here.
In addition, the artists can take home their work after their pieces have been fired in the kiln.
The Kidz Clay art class is at the James City County Recreation Center, 5301 Longhill Road, on Jan. 7 to Feb. 4 from 4:15 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.
Attendees must pay $15 for materials at the first class to Dorothy Round, the instructor.
