The deadline approaches to apply for the Williamsburg Area Arts Commission’s grant program.
The grants support services for arts and cultural organizations in the Hampton Roads area.
And the best part?
Organizations registered as nonprofits are eligible to apply for operational support.
“It is the policy of the WAAC to award no more than 10% of the total proposed Arts Commission budget to a single organization,” Joanna Skrabala, tourism development specialist for the city of Williamsburg, wrote in an email.

The application process is all online this year to make it easier to apply.
Applications are due no later than Tuesday, Dec. 1, at 4 p.m.
Proposals will be reviewed in January and grants will be announced in the spring, according to a news release from the city.
Applicants with questions should contact the commission at 757-220-6129 or reach out to Skrabala at JSkrabala@williamsburgva.gov.
