The James City County Parks & Recreation Department is hosting an event to provide sensory activities for residents.
The event is free and is for all ages and abilities.
Participants are encouraged to “bring a messy shirt” and get ready for some sensory play that’s sure to be “ooey, gooey,” according to the JCC Parks & Recreation’s Facebook page.
“Snacks and materials provided,” the post read. “Individual sensory activities will be available.”
The Ooey, Gooey, Fun-Sensory Play is at the James City County Recreation Center, 5301 Longhill Road, on Sept. 23 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Registration is required and the deadline is Sept. 11 at 8 p.m. You can register here or call 757-259-4200.
For more information about sensory play and other therapeutic recreation activities, call 757-259-5354.
