Cameron Pepper may have a lot of explaining to do — the 23-year-old man is being accused of being a “Peeping Tom.”
Williamsburg Police arrested Pepper Sunday, charging him with peeping into an occupied dwelling, a class 1 misdemeanor.
He is being held in the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail. A bond amount was not listed in Monday’s online jail records.
Pepper, who police said is from Idaho, is listed in the jail’s booking sheet as being homeless.
Police said a call came in at 10:15 a.m. Sunday reporting a man seen peeping into a home in the 100 block of Frenchmens Key in the Port Ann subdivision.
The resident told police he was in his home when he saw the man, later identified as Pepper, in his backyard.
There were no injuries or property damage reported.
Police said Sunday’s incident was their first interaction with Pepper.
No other details were made available.
