Saluda man killed in Williamsburg crash

Williamsburg Police said speed appears to be a factor in a single-vehicle crash that killed a man Wednesday.

The man was identified as Kevin Epps of Saluda.

He was 44 years old.

The crash happened in the 1900 block of Bypass Road at around 1 p.m.

Authorities said a 2007 Chrysler Sebring was being driven by Epps south on Capital Landing Road when it “continued over an unprotected median and (he) lost control of the vehicle.”

The vehicle went off the road and struck a tree.

Epps died at the scene.

No other information about the crash was immediately released.

Authorities are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to call Williamsburg Police at 757-220-2331.
