You can bring out your inner actor with these virtual classes

Aspiring actors and improv newbies can now take online classes to perfect their art.

The Hampton Commission on the Arts announced Wednesday their education branch, Hampton Arts Education, is offering three online programs on monologues, improv and acting.

The classes are for all ages; the first class starts June 15. Click here to register.

“We’re very excited to be able to offer these fun, dynamic classes to our community through a platform that allows our students to learn from the comfort and safety of their homes,” said Hugo Morrison, Hampton Arts Education manager, in a prepared statement.

Each class is once a week for eight weeks and ranges from $9 per session for improv to $60 for the entire course for monologues and acting sessions. See the course schedule below.

Monologue Masters

  • Date: Monday, June 15 to Aug. 3 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Cost: $60

Improv Anywhere…Improv Everywhere

  • Date: Tuesday, June 16 to Aug. 4 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Cost: $9 per session

Acting/Audition

  • Date: Wednesday, June 17 to Aug. 5 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Cost: $60
