Detectives in Norfolk have identified the body found in a wooded area in York County as that of Marcia Dumas.

The Norfolk woman was 45 years old.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is still investigating to determine the manner and cause of death.

Police are not looking for any suspects.

Detectives have not released details about the incident.

Two Norfolk men have been arrested in connection with the case.

Robert Carroll, 42, and Kevin Dunn, 43, are charged with unlawful disposal of a body.

They are being held without bond in the Norfolk City Jail. Carroll was booked on additional charges of strangulation resulting in wounding or bodily injury and concealing a dead body.

Authorities said their investigation indicated the death happened in Norfolk.

York-Poquoson Sheriff’s deputies received a call Monday about a “suspicious incident” near the 100 block of Long Green Boulevard, said sheriff’s Capt. Tommy West. The area is near the YMCA and Tabb Library.

Authorities said a passerby had been walking a dog in the area when the animal pulled the passerby over toward a spot near the woods. The body was hidden under leaves and the passerby didn’t see it. However, the passerby felt there was something wrong and called YPSO around 7:25 a.m.

Deputies found the body in the wood line near the area.
