NORFOLK, VA – The city of Norfolk said that all city buildings will remain closed to the public until further notice, according to a press release.

Norfolk city employees will continue to report to work.

Essential services, including trash pick-up and services will continue as normal. City officials say that residents are encouraged to use the many online options to access city services and make payments.

City officials say the program Norfolk Cares is experiencing an increase in calls for bulk waste pickups. You can avoid longer than normal call wait times and use the MyNorfolk mobile app and online portal at Norfolk.gov to request a bulk waste pickup.
