The Virginia Beach Public Library is offering free coding and computer classes to enhance your skills. Library officials say they have classes for all level of coders.
Here are the classes being offered:
HTML for Beginners: Learn the basics of coding, web design, HTML syntax, structure and text editing. Adults 18+. Registration is required. Joint-Use Library: March 5, 5:15 – 7:15 p.m. and April 4, 10 a.m. – noon. Princess Anne Area Library: March 27, 10 a.m. – noon.
Computers for Beginners: Learn the basics of using computers through hands-on activities. Adults 18+. Registration is required. Princess Anne Area Library: March 10, 3 – 5 p.m. and April 29, 2 – 4 p.m. Central Library: April 2, 10 a.m. – noon. Bayside Area Library: April 28, 9 – 11 a.m.
CSS for Beginners: Add colors, fonts and backgrounds to webpages using CSS. Adults 18+. Registration is required. Joint-Use Library: March 12, 5:15 – 7:15 p.m.
Coding With KIBO: Building With Bricks: Make a LEGO Baby Yoda, attach it to a KIBO robot and program KIBO to move! Grades 3-5. Registration is required. Princess Anne Area Library: March 12, 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. and April 15, 2 – 3 p.m.
Microsoft Word for Beginners: Create and format basic documents. Adults 18+. Registration is required. Princess Anne Area Library: March 18 and April 18, 10 a.m. – noon. Joint-Use Library: April 11, 10 a.m. – noon.
Microsoft Excel: Pivot Charts, Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP: In this advanced course, use charts and pivot tables to organize your data. Adults 18+. Registration is required. Central Library: March 24, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Joint-Use Library: March 26, 5:15 – 7:15 p.m. and April 16, 5:15 – 7:15 p.m.
