A Norfolk man has been arrested on charges stemming from a shooting that left one-person injured Friday morning.
According to police, it happened around 4:00 a.m.. Norfolk police responded to a gunshot disturbance in the 700 block of W. Little Creek Road. When officers arrived on scene, they located a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
The man was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with life-threatening injuries. At this time, the man is in critical but stable condition.
As a result of the investigation, Joseph E. Riddick, 34, was arrested and charged with aggravated malicious wounding and use of a firearm.
Detectives have not released the motive or circumstances surrounding this shooting.
Riddick is currently being held in the Norfolk City Jail with no bond.
