Norfolk Police are investigating a suspicious situation after witnesses observed a man who appeared to be following behind a student near the intersection of Ballentine Blvd and Victoria Avenue on February 11th, around 3:45 p.m.
While police say there was no interaction between the man and the student, officers are investigating and patrolling the area as a precautionary measure.
The man is described as a white male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
Norfolk Police say they take every report of suspicious activity seriously and will investigate accordingly.
Police remind residents of all ages to stay aware of your surroundings, travel with others when possible, let friends and family know where you’re going, and do not focus on electronic devices when walking in public areas.
