A Williamsburg man has been charged with two felony counts of object sexual penetration, the Virginia Attorney General’s Office said Thursday.
Herschel “Mickey” Harden, 72, was indicted on Wednesday by the King William multi-jurisdictional grand jury. The Virginia State Police took custody of Harden.
Harden worked at Cumberland Hospital for Children and Adolescents in New Kent during the alleged sexual contact involving a former patient, according to the news release.
The indictment listed two separate incidents — “on or about Oct. 1, 2018 through Dec. 31, 2018” and “Jan. 1 2019 through April 30, 2019.
Harden’s next court date is Feb. 10 at the New Kent County Circuit Court. The Attorney General’s Office said the case remains under investigation.
