Lululemon, a Canadian athletic apparel chain, recently opened in Williamsburg.

According to the Lululemon Williamsburg Facebook page, the store had its grand opening on Nov. 15.

A few days later, the store posted a couple of photos of the space, which used to be a part of the College of William & Mary Bookstore.

There was speculation this past spring of the chain moving to downtown Williamsburg after Jeffrey Duncan, vice president of real estate for the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, submitted an application to city’s Architectural Review Board regarding a Lululemon sign.

According to the Lululemon Williamsburg Facebook page description, the company makes technical clothing for yoga, running and most other sweaty pursuits.

“We create components for people to live longer, healthier, more fun lives… in Williamsburg!” the chain added.

Lululemon, 345 W Duke of Gloucester St., is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
