A woman from Virginia Beach is in the hospital after contracting a vaping-related illness. Twenty-one-year-old Brooke Zimmerly spent a week in the ICU hooked up to breathing machines and an IV.
This month, the CDC listed vitamin E acetate as the possible causes for the recent vaping-related illnesses.
Zimmerly is sharing her story on social media with hopes her experience will encourage others not to vape. Doctors say she is expected to make a full recovery.
