NEWPORT NEWS — The Virginia Living Museum, the Peninsula Metropolitan YMCA and the YMCA of South Hampton Roads are swapping memberships in December.
This membership swap lasts the entire month of December.
“This is the first time the two organizations will be swapping,” according to the museum’s news release. “About 64,000 YMCA member households will be able to have free, unlimited admission to the Virginia Living Museum for December, plus 10 percent off in the Wild Things Museum Store and Wild Side Cafe.”
Museum members can visit any YMCA location in the Hampton Roads area with unlimited access to group exercise classes, fitness equipment and up to two hours of childcare per day.
In addition, YMCA members can visit the museum for free and birthday parties at a discount. The YMCA will waive membership joining fees for museum members who sign up in December.
The membership swap is not valid for special events or education programs.
