Halloween is Thursday and here’s a weather update so you can be prepared whether you are trick or treating with the kids or going out on the town.
In Hampton Roads, the day will be dry and mild, said Mike Montefusco, meteorologist at the National Weather Service in Wakefield, with temperatures in the upper to mid 70s and coastal temperatures in the 80s.
The wind will be mild and partly cloudy with overcast conditions, Montefusco said.
“In terms of trick or treaters, there shouldn’t be any problem,” he said, adding there could be a possibility of showers later in the evening.
While the showers, if they were to occur, wouldn’t technically happen until 9 to 10 p.m., Montefusco said people might want to start and wrap up trick or treating early.
“Chances of rain ramps up after 8′ o clock,” he said. “Certainly the earlier the better.”
Friday is expected to have lingering showers with temperatures in the high 50s to low 60s, Montefusco said.
