A man was arrested after police said he shot into a motel room with a woman and her two children Friday morning.
At approximately 12:15 a.m., police responded to the 800 block of Capitol Landing Road after a report that shots were fired into a building, Williamsburg Police said in a news release.
Authorities said Calvin Bernard Moore, 43, left the motel room at the Travelodge after a domestic dispute and fired a round into the room from outside the building, which was occupied by a woman and her two children.
The round was fired into a wall — no one was injured, police said.
Moore was taken to the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail. He is charged with discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, receipt of a stolen firearm and domestic assault and battery with more potential charges, police said.
